Test Drive Policy

Test Drive Policy

Here at Coles Auto Collective we highly encourage all cars to be test driven before purchase to ensure that you are satisfied that the car operates as intended.

We do have some rules just to protect ourselves and our stock. Our cars are carefully hand-picked and thoroughly prepared, they are crucial to our business, and we put both them and ourselves at risk by going on a test drive, as well as the time spent on pre-viewing car washing and money on fuel etc, so we hope you can understand the need for this policy.

*Purpose of the test drive*
The test drive is intended solely to assess the general roadworthiness, comfort and performance of the vehicle under normal driving conditions. It is strictly not permitted to drive the vehicle in a manner that tests its limits.

No test drive will be permitted without genuine interest in purchasing the vehicle. We cannot accommodate test drives purely to see what a car is like to drive without the intention of purchasing.

Test drives are the final confirmation of quality before purchase. A test drive will only take place after you have had the chance to inspect the car, confirmed you are satisfied with its condition and are happy with the price.

*Insurance & Damages*
Provided you hold a valid UK driving license, you are insured while on a test drive with us, however our insurance has a £2000 excess in the case of a total loss, which the driver would be responsible for paying. Any minor damages such as kerbed alloys caused on the test drive are also the responsibility of the driver to pay for.

Thank you for your understanding. I know that in 99% of cases this policy is not particularly needed, we are just trying to avoid any unnecessary negative experiences.
